Credit questions
Buy only what you need.
The core PDF tools stay free. Credits are only for NanoPDF AI edits, and failed AI attempts are refunded automatically.
Do I need credits for the free PDF tools?+
No. Merge, split, rotate, delete pages, watermark, page numbers, compress, password protect, JPG to PDF, and PDF to JPG stay free without credits. Credits only unlock NanoPDF AI Editor actions.
Is this a subscription?+
No. FoundryPDF sells one-time credit packs only. Buy credits when you need them; there are no monthly plans, account tiers, or cancellation chores.
How many AI edits does a pack cover?+
A typical high-quality AI edit costs 2 credits, quick drafts cost 1 credit, and ultra-sharp 4K output costs 4 credits. The Starter Pack covers about five typical edits; the Value Pack covers about fifteen.
What happens if an AI edit fails?+
Failed AI edits are refunded automatically. Credits are only spent when FoundryPDF returns a usable result, so retries after a processing failure do not double-charge you.
Do credits expire?+
No. Purchased credits do not expire, so you can keep a small balance for occasional PDF edits without racing a renewal date.
